casita

Trebče (pron. Treb'chai) is the Slovenian name of Trebiciano, one of the most typical villages of the Carso.

The Carso plateau is a rocky limestone tableland spreading in northeastern Italy from the foot of the Julian Alps down to the Bebian Alps (Velebit) at the northwestern end of Croatia,  in Istria, through the western Slovenia, so spreading through three States.

The whole territory is criss crosses by a huge network of pathes, suitable for hiking and biking, passing through the various aspects of the landscape: from the blackpine woods to the green meadows up to the rocky carsic land with its typical vegetation, better preserved in less urbanized areas.

In the picture a characteristic "casita", a traditional rural construction that can be fund all over the Istrian peninsula.
